Although there is no entry requirement It would be an advantage for delegates to have completed the IMO level 1 oil spill response training.

IMO Level 2 osr course is designed for supervisors who will lead oil spill response teams & those with support duty within an incident command or emergency team

Candidates will have a thorough knowledge of the sound and efficient response to oil spills, be able to risk assess the oil spill, deploy a ideal response, priortise resources, chose the correct response, find the restrictions of response options and tools and understand how to deal with media.
